One to watch for Ivory Coast

Diallo has been named in Ivory Coast's World Cup squad and is expected to be one of the most dynamic attacking options at manager Fae's disposal on the right flank throughout the competition.

Analysis: Diallo ended the season having made 32 Premier League appearances for Manchester United, contributing two goals and four assists after signing a new long-term contract at Old Trafford that reflects his growing importance to the club. The youngster's pace, direct running and prolific creative output have made him one of the most exciting wide players in English football this season, and his end product makes him a genuine match-winner for Ivory Coast. Diallo heads into the World Cup as one of the most anticipated young attackers in the tournament and will be key for the Elephants as he is the main set piece taker of the squad.

Assists against Brighton

Diallo assisted once to go with two shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 3-0 win over Brighton.

Analysis: Diallo was one of the few true let downs of a surprisingly excellent United season. He only scored twice and added three assists during 32 appearances. Coming into the season hopes were sky-high that he could push for double-digits in goals and assists after a brilliant 2024/25. He finished the season with an assist, and still has manager Michael Carrick's trust, so there's reason to believe in a bounce-back next season.
